Attic Conversion

When was the work done?
The work was done in August, 2009 and took about two and a half weeks.

What was involved?
It was an attic conversion. We wanted to convert it to usable living space. When the project was finished, the attic had two bedrooms and a bathroom.

How did you choose KS Construction?
I knew Kevin because I work in a builders providers. I chose Kevin mainly because of price. I had spoken to three other builders and Kevin was a lot less expensive. I was a little worried at first that I might not get the same quality of work done but everything worked out excellently.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Kevin Stanley?
We had a good idea of what we wanted, yes.

Did Kevin introduce new ideas?
He did. The other guys we had spoken to were going to make the landing too big which would have taken space away from the bedrooms and bathroom. Kevin was able to do the landing in such a way as to make it not too big or small. It was just enough and because of it, the bedrooms are a lot bigger.

How did the project run?
If I could mark the job out of ten, I would give it a nine and a half. Kevin was reliable, came to work every day on time and the same was true with the guys working with him. There were no problems. Another thing that really impressed me was how clean the job was. Kevin spent one hour every evening cleaning up before going home. He was extremely clean.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using KS Construction?
I would have to say the cleanliness. We were expecting a mess and to be living in the middle of a nightmare and it wasn't.

What's your favourite part now?
The stairs leading to the attic. They're in a really tight area and we thought it would be horribly steep and that you would never be able to get anything up there, like furniture or beds, but it worked out excellently.

Would you recommend KS Construction to others?
I would definitely recommend kevin to others.
