Very Professional, Very Organised

What was involved?
I haven't done work in the house in a while so it needed a full makeover. I put in an ensuite, a new bathroom, new kitchen and painted the whole house inside and out. The new ensuite went in where the box room was originally. We moved a wall and made a large master bedroom with ensuite from a double bedroom and bathroom.

How did you choose PK Builder?
Pawel was recommended to me by a friend in the area - he had done some painting work for her.

I got a few tenders but I liked the fact that Pawel was very professional. He arrived on time, very organised with his measuring tape and his clipboard. Also I liked that he was up for the challenge. I think some of the other builders overpriced because it was a messy job that involved moving plumbing and moving walls and they didn't really want to tackle it. But Pawel didn't see it that way.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Pawel Korytkowski?
I had quite a good idea in my head of what I wanted to do but Pawel had very good ideas as well.

Did Pawel introduce new ideas?
Yes, his input was very good actually. And he was very open to my ideas as well.

How did the project run?
It ran very well. I liked that he turned up a little bit early every morning. He worked 6 days a week which suited me because it got the job finished quicker. They kept the place very clean and tidy and the workmanship was very good.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using PK Builder?
Efficiency and hard work - I liked the fact that they worked very 8 until 6 every day and just got the job done. He didn't hang around, he got stuck in and that suited me.

What's your favourite part now?
I really like my new kitchen, Pawel did a great job on it. I just wanted a very compact, u-shaped kitchen so I could have most of the space for a living/dining area. I had gone to a few kitchen designers and they had all said all that it wasn't possible. Pawel really listened to me and measured and re-measured and re-measured until we got what I wanted. It's a lovely space to work in now.

Would you recommend PK Builder to others?
Oh yes and I have done.

Any tips for other people?
Yes, get a few quotes, go to show rooms, look at other ideas. I had to really think about how to efficiently use the space that I had because I wanted a lot out of it. And only use people that are recommended.
