Condensation is a result of warm moist air coming into contact with a cold surface
In severe cases it results in water runs and a black mould growth and generally occurs on windows and in areas which have poor air circulation, unfortunately condensation is often misdiagnosed as rising damp. The origin of the water is our ‘life- style’, that is our daily moisture production from cooking, washing, how we dry our clothes and even breathing
These problems can be resolved firstly by making sure that it is a condensation problem and not rising damp and then introducing a way to remove the condense from the air, below are some of the ways to treat condensation
