Damp Problem In Old House
Customer reference for AAA Advanced Damp Proofing as told to pickapro by Derek Armstrong from Sillogue Construction on 15-Jun-2009
When was the work done?
The work was carried out in April, 2009 but we're going to be using Ty again on other building projects.
What was involved?
I was renovating an old, terraced house that had a damp problem that needed to be sorted and kept at bay. Ty carried out a a damp proof coursing injection into some of the walls to get rid of the damp and prevent it reoccurring. He also applied a tanking system to comat bridging from external high ground levels.
How did you choose AAA Advanced Damp Proofing?
Word of mouth. I had asked around and Ty was recommended to us.
The reason I chose Ty to do the work is that it's his company and he's more hands on than some of the bigger firms. I liked the fact that Ty is the one you deal with from start to finish. He does the work himself and doesn't pass it off for someone else to do.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Ty Fleming?
I've done this type of work a few times so I had a fair idea of what was needed.
Did Ty introduce new ideas?
He did. Although I had a pretty good idea myself, I wanted Ty's opinion as well. Ty was on the button about what needed to be done.
How did the project run?
100%. Ty did the work that needed to be done and left the place bright and very clean.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using AAA Advanced Damp Proofing?
The fact that Ty does the assessment survey and work himself. It's easier to deal with one person and you don't have to worry about things getting lost in translation. I've had problems with that before.
Would you recommend AAA Advanced Damp Proofing to others?
I would yes, definitely.
