When was the work done?
December 2008.

What was involved?
Stephen did three different jobs for me - fixed the storage heating, installed a new electric shower and fitted new recessed lights downstairs.

How did you choose A. Abbott Electrical?
When the storage heating broke down, I rang a friend who gave me Steven's number. I have 3 young kids so I needed the heat back on. Steven was down in 20 minutes and he had the system back and working within an hour. I got him to do other work for me after that as well, new recessed lights downstairs and a new electric shower unit.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Stephen O'Hara?
Yes for the storage heater and shower. But with the lights downstairs, I didn't have a clue, I just told him I wanted to smarten the place up.

Did Stephen introduce new ideas?
He brought a selection of light fittings and bulbs out for me to have a look at. He even the suggested which light bulbs were best for not blowing and giving out the best light.

How did the project run?
Stephen worked very clean and I haven't had any problems with anything he did since.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using A. Abbott Electrical?
Being able to pick up the phone and talk to someone who didn't come up with a big story about why they couldn't come out until next week. When I called Stephen in for the shower, the motor had actually blown and that's dangerous. Stephen just said I'll get down to you as soon as possible and he was down within the hour.

Plus the fact that Steven was happy to take the time to do what were fairly small jobs. It's good that some people will still do that.

What's your favourite part now?
The fact that everything's working! I haven't had to get on the phone and give out or complain.

Would you recommend A. Abbott Electrical to others? Definitely, I was happy with the work so it's no problem at all to recommend him. I recommended him to my cousin who is going to give him a ring and get him to get a bit of work done.
