Customer reference for Form Concepts as told to pickapro by Derek Delaney from City West, Dublin 24 on 29-Nov-2007

When was the work done?
Between the 1st and 3rd weeks of November 2007.

What was involved?
It was a bare apartment, just concrete floors and no tiling. I told Yvonne I wanted to be able to just show up with a suitcase and that's exactly what happened. Yvonne looked after everything from flooring and furnishings right down to putting in the hoover, knives, forks, cups, dressing the tables and making the beds.

How did you choose Form Concepts?
I saw Form Concepts on pickapro and I liked the photos of her work. A lot of her project photos were in a modern style which is what I wanted too.

When I contacted Yvonne, she came to the apartment, had a look around and measured everything with no obligation. And then she took me out shopping for a whole day, again with no obligation so she could could get her head around what I was looking for. We got a lot of the stuff picked out that day.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Yvonne?
I did yes. I wanted just black and white, no other colours, nothing fussy, no flowers. I wanted chrome tables and chairs - a clean look.

Did Yvonne introduce new ideas?
She did. I had a suite and dining set picked out beforehand and because the sitting room and the dining table are in the same rooom, she showed me that they wouldn't work together. Yvonne showed me what would work together and explained how to cancel what I had ordered.

How did the project run?
Yvonne said she'd have it done in 2 weeks which she did. She also got someone to do the builder's snag list for me before she started, which was great as well.

Everything was done brilliantly. I'm delighted with the floors. She went for a wider plank which looks really good because it's a big apartment and the wider plank makes the most of the space. She used thin white blinds to let in a lot of light. And the tiling in the bathrooms was done excellently.

Even down to things like the TV points in the bedroom. They were on the wrong side in one of the bedrooms. So she got the wall rechased, the wiring switched around and the wall replastered.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using Form Concepts?
I was able to completely and utterly leave it to Yvonne. But at the same time she wanted me to have as much involvement as suited me.

After going shopping with her the first day, the next time, I met her was the day she was handing over the keys, which was exactly what I wanted.

Also Yvonne was able to source really good discounts that I wouldn't be able to get myself.

What's your favourite part now?
The bedrooms are stunning. We decided what way to do them, and then Yvonne got the headboards and all the lamp shades specially made so everything looks very professionally done.

Would you recommend Form Concepts to others?
Yes, I have done already. The follow up has been good too. I wanted a couch covered. And even through Yvonne is finished and has been paid, she got someone to do that for me and she's still following up that it has been done.

Any tips for other people?
The biggest thing would be to listen to the interior designer and what they're suggesting, especially if they're saying something doesn't work. Once they show you why, you'll see that they're right.
