When was the work done?
The apartment was finished this Summer (2005).
How did you choose Interiors?
I called Karen after I saw a feature in a magazine about her. Then when I met Karen for the consultation, I was very impressed. I just felt that I was really going to get what I was looking for.
Had you definite ideas for your apartment?
Yes I had set ideas and a set budget.
Did Karen introduce new ideas?
Yes, she moved me away from some of my original ideas, but very nicely. And I have to say that Karen doesn't force her ideas on you. She gives you a huge amount of time to look at samples. She really wants to make sure that you're happy with everything.
What was the overall project process day to day?
We discussed ideas first of all and my requirements such as storage. Then Karen came back with a lot of samples - carpets, curtains, fabrics. She priced each aspect of the job and did everything she could to keep me within my budget.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using Interiors?
One big benefit was how much time it saved me. The other was that the finished room is much better coordinated and finished that I could ever have achieved.
It can be hard enough to get samples from shops to coordinate a room but Karen left me with plenty of samples. I also feel that it worked out cheaper because I didn't make any mistakes.
What's your favourite part now?
I just love the whole room. It's very calm. And people of all age groups love it as well.
Would you recommend Interiors to others?
Yes. They are extremely reliable - always return phone calls promptly and always contacted me if they were unavoidably delayed, which was very rare. They were extremely professional in a friendly, efficient way.
The main thing is that when you've finished an apartment with Karen, you really feel that you have ownership of it. She really wants you to be happy with every aspect of it.
