When was the work done?
We were building a whole new house - the work on the house was started in February 2007 and completed in April 2008. Mary was on hand throughout as the interior designer.

What was involved?
Mary looked after all the interior design in the house - the style, the colours, the curtains and blinds, the furniture and flooring, the bathrooms.

How did you choose Taylored Interiors?
Another interior designer recommended Mary to me. So, I met Mary and we hit it off and we worked very well together.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Mary Taylor?
I'm an older person and I just didn't wanted something really, really modern. I was going for something that I was comfortable with. As I said to Mary I don't know what I really want but I'll know what I don't like.

Did Mary introduce new ideas?
She did, but what was important was that she never took over the decisions, they were left to me.

How did the project run?
It was a very smooth run actually. Mary purchased the furnishings and the furniture and arranged for the tradespeople who would be carrying out her various projects like a plumber and flooring specialist. Mary is a lovely person and very easy to work with. She never kept me waiting for anything and was always available.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using Taylored Interiors?
It's a big house and I just wouldn't have had the confidence to do it myself. Mary was very particular and she worked very well with the builders. When we moved into the house it was in showhouse condition.

Towards the end of the project I was away for about a month and still hadn't chosen blinds for the ensuite toilet. When I got back, Mary told me that she had found the perfect blinds for me. I was 100% happy with the choice that she made. I could trust her totally.

What's your favourite part now?
I'm very happy with everything but I really love my sunroom cum kitchen. I pinch myself when I think of how nice it turned out.

Would you recommend Taylored Interiors to others?
I would and in fact, I already have. I hope Mary gets loads and loads of work, she's lovely.
