When was the work done?
During February 2005.

What was involved?
Complete garden landscaping. First Earthworks put in drainage, then they built a two tier terrace where the garden sloped. They built raised planting beds using railway sleepers and put in a children's all-weather play area with a bark surface. They built a patio and they planted trees and shrubs.

How did you choose Earthworks Landscape Services?
I contacted lots of landscapers from the Golden Pages. From talking to them on the phone, I narrowed it down to three landscapers. What I liked about Darragh was his attention to detail. He was very specific and opened our eyes about small things, like defining the edge between the lawn and the play area.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Darragh Connolly?
We knew exactly what we wanted and we thought that we had all the design details worked out.

Did Darragh introduce new ideas?
Yes, he was the only landscaper who really talked to us about how to make the design work. For example, he suggested building a terrace to level the slope. And he knew the right kind of materials to use.

How did the project run day to day? Was there any disruption?
We had absolutely no issues. Darragh gave us a progress report at the end of each day. He didn't need any supervision. He had given us a schedule at the start so we knew what to expect every day.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using Earthworks?
We could trust that it was really good quality work which will last. The finish is a very high quality.

What's your favourite part now?
I think the paved patio area is my favourite part. Or it will be when it's warmer!

Would you recommend Earthwork Landscape Services to others?
Yes, I certainly would.

Be clear about what you want. Then talk to the professionals and find out if it's feasible.
