The young clients (in their thirties), had cleared the grass, put down a half deck, installed a shed and then promptly lost interest.

We were asked to make it a suitable, defined, useable space with year round interest.

The garden we created uses a mixture of architectural plants, trees, herbs and grasses. The flowering plants bloom in purples, blues and reds and there are blueberry bushes dotted amongst the shrubs. It is designed with interlocking circles and paths and defined by the striking use of colour.

We advised that to make their garden really unique – we would have to do something about the unfinished breeze block walls and that we wanted to paint them. We were delighted that they trusted us enough to paint the back wall shocking pink, the side walls lilac and the shed in a dull grey.

The once barren, unloved, brick strewn space is transformed into a garden which is bursting with life, vibrancy and certainly demands attention.
