The brief was simple with this city centre yard measuring 2.5M x 3M. Our client said "Do anything you want but I want lots of plants." With a challenge like that we set about adding some height and providing some seating.

Constructed in cedar, the planters have been filled with lots of different plants allowing for a bursting flash of green and colour all year round. Even though this is a tiny space we have managed to squeeze every centimetre to get the most out of it.

Seating came in the form of a two person bench with a planter each end. The lower section of the raised planter is at the same height and is wide enough to sit three people on.

With space under the seat for bar-b-que storage and a fold away table stored inside, this once forbidding yard space is a comfortable spot for five people to enjoy the evening sun.
