City Centre Tiny Garden

The work was carried out in Summer 2007.
What was involved?
We live in a city centre house which had a tiny back yard and I wanted it turned into a garden.
How did you choose Merton Design?
Through word of mouth from people they had done work for. I saw the work that had done for other people and spoke to Will and John about what I wanted.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Merton Design?
I did, I wanted tall raised beds. John and Will introduced a seating area around one wall and little planters. They fleshed out my ideas
How did the project run?
Absolutely, fantastic. They came in and cleared absolutely everything out. Then they salvaged what could be salvaged, painted all the walls, laid the decking, built the raised beds, filled them, planted it. You name it, they did it. Will and John were absolutely fantastic. The whole thing was done in about four
days. They turned up when they said they would and did what they said they would do. The cleanup was amazing.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using Merton Design?
I got exactly what i wanted and its absolutely fantastic. What I have got is just a joy. and I couldn't have got it without them. The planting was gorgeous. And in two and a half years nothing has gone wrong with my garden, the decking is still perfect.
What's your favourite part now?
The whole lot of it, it's not big enough to have a part! It's another room. When you live in the middle of the city, its nice to have a place where you can get out and spend time.
Would you recommend Merton Design to others?
I would, absolutely.
Any tips for other people?
Have an idea of you want and then discuss it with them. And have an idea of budget.
