Front, Back Garden
Customer reference for Sean Mulvey Landscapes as told to pickapro by Michael Gartland from Glasnevin on 17-Jan-2006
When was the work done?
Sean did my back garden about 2 years ago. And my front garden in June of 2005.
What was involved?
He landscaped the back garden - laid down cobblelocking bricks, made planters using railway sleepers and planted it. It's a lovely job.
In the front garden he laid Dundalk tiles around a central area.
How did you choose Sean Mulvey?
Sean was recommended to me by a relative who's famous for being very hard to please.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Sean
No. The back garden was a real mess and I'd a relatively tight budget. For the front garden, I needed something that looked well and where I could park my motor bike.
Did Sean Mulvey introduce new ideas?
Yes, he came up with all the ideas and they were very good. He studied in the Botanical Gardens and he's a hugh knowledge of what will and won't grow.
But never tried to drag us along with his ideas. He'd always leave ideas or samples with us to think over.
What was the project process - day to day?
The back and front took about two weeks each. There was no disruption. Sean even built a runway through the work in the front garden so I could get my motor bike in.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using Sean Mulvey?
He's terribly honest - old fashioned as that sounds.
And his time scale was very good. He started when he said he would. And he finished very close to when he estimated.
Also, he's an extremely tidy worker.
What's your favourite part now?
The front garden - it's really unique. People often knock on the door to ask where we got the tiles.
Would you recommend Sean Mulvey to others?
I certainly would. No question about it.
Nothing was a problem to him.
Any tips for other people?
No, Sean got it right. I wouldn't change any of it.
