Customer reference for landscaping services as told to pickapro by Robert Disney from Co Dublin on 30-Oct-2009
When was the work done?
The work was carried out between the spring and summer of
2008. It took about five to six weeks to complete.
What was involved?
We live in a small housing estate and wanted the front and back
garden done. Sean put together some designs, we agreed on a price and Sean carried out the work. A new lawn was put in, bedding plants were added and a deck was built out the back.
How did you choose Sean Mulvey Landscapes?
We found Sean in a local directory. When we met with Sean, he came across very well and we were happy to go with him.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Sean Mulvey?
We knew what we had in mind. We gave Sean our ideas in principle and he produced several sketches based on those ideas and applied pricing for the various options. Ease of use but nice looking was what we wanted. We did not want to be slaves to the garden. In the end, the garden was a mix and match of the various design ideas.
Did Sean introduce new ideas?
He did but it was more with regards to the practicalities and specifics of what we wanted done.
How did the project run?
In terms of the quality of the work, Sean was very good. With regards to time, there was never a set date to have it done by. That was never a concern for me as I wouldn't have been using the garden anyway. I just wanted the job to be done right, and it was.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using Sean Mulvey Landscapes?
Sean's very easy to talk to, knowledgeable about his plants, as well as which plants do well at different times of the year. Sean put together a mix that we're very happy with.
What's your favourite part now?
We have a small back garden so getting the proportion right with regards to the deck and grass was important. You want a functional deck but a bit of green as well. That was key to the project and it came out very well and looks good. Sean really got the proportion right.
Would you recommend Sean Mulvey Landscapes to others?
Yes I would
Any tips for other people?
It's important to know what you want because the person doing the work is going to take your lead. Have an idea about the functionality and what you're trying to get from the
garden.
