Maintenance Free Garden
Customer reference for Drive Style as told to pickapro by Pete Sheehan from Dublin 18 on 28-Feb-2007
When was the work done?
This time last year, February 2006.
What was involved?
It was site clearing, laying down drainage and pipe work, building steps, paving and gravelling the front and back of the house and putting in a patio area at the back.
How did you choose Drive Style?
James had done some work around the corner of where I live. I kept his number on file and I rang him up. He's done two or three jobs for us since.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to James Mason?
We had a rough sketch of what we wanted. We went through it with James and we agreed on what the finish would be and how much we would spend on it.
Did James introduce new ideas?
He did, yes. James recommended that instead of paving the whole lot, we put some gravel around the edges just to break up the hard landscaping and give it a bit of feature.
How did the project run?
It was a little slow to start but that was because he was finishing other projects and at the time there was a lot of rain and everything. But once he started he was fine, he never stopped and finished it then well within the projected time.
What's your favourite part now?
It's just the over all tidiness of the whole finished product. We now have a maintenance free garden. No lawnmower needed, it's just paved and gravelled.
Would you recommend Drive Style to others?
I would, and have.
Any tips for other people?
Try and plan outside work to start, say after St. Patricks day, so the weather is in your favour. And finish it up before mid November.
