Finished Ahead of Schedule

What was involved?
Our back garden had a quite drastic slope and we asked Ilmars to first level it off and than terrace it. He also paved the area and added retaining walls

How did you choose Paving For You?
A neighbour of ours had seen some of Ilmars work elsewhere and recommended him to us. We then Googled him and looked at his website. We had spoken to a few contractors but chose Ilmars because he was very confident about what he could achieve in the garden. He told us that everything we were suggesting was possible. The other contractors were setting limits on what they would be able to do. I liked Ilmars approach and he came across as very professional. He would use a laser to take his measurements, so we knew that they would be accurate. It was reassuring.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Ilmars Augucevics?
Before we committed to the job, we had thought a lot about it ourselves but we were worried because we're not experts. As we were discussing our ideas, Ilmars was able to mark it out in the ground which gave us a good chance to visualise it.

Did Ilmars introduce new ideas?
First of all Ilmars reassured us that with his experience and knowledge he would be able to achieve what we wanted done. He brought practical elements to the job such as proper drainage and things like that. There were also one or two other ideas we hadn't considered beforehand that worked out quite well.

How did the project run?
I couldn't fault any of it. Ilmars worked very quickly, was clean and tidy and finished the job ahead of schedule which was great. Ilmars and his team were professional, had the right tools and the quality and finish is excellent, really top class. The job took 9 working days to complete.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using Paving For You?
Quite a few things really. He was very reasonable price wise and was a part of the Home Renovation Improvement scheme which was a big financial benefit to us. Ilmars is reliable and did what he said he would do. When we needed to adjust the plans during the project, it was no problem, Ilmars was flexible and made adjustments. He is unflappable.

Would you recommend Paving For You to others?
I sure would, yes.

Any tips for other people?
Definitely shop around and get the advice of different contractors, that way you know you'll end up with the right finish that will suit you. I think it's also important to think about how you might want use the space in the future. Design your garden around your present and future family needs,
