Customer reference for plastering services as told to pickapro by Noeleen Allan from Bree, Co Wexford. on 31-Mar-2007
When was the work done?
November of 2006.
What was involved?
The main job was for Padraic to plaster the whole bathroom. In addition, since our house is so old and we had damp patches in the kitchen, I wanted Padraic to re-plaster there as well.
How did you choose Higgins Plastering?
Padraic came recommended to me from a friend who had some plastering work done. I'm glad he was. Previously, we had contacted a couple of companies to come out and look at the job. One of them came, saw and never came back. The other just never showed up.
Padraic was very good. He came out of his way to see what needed to be done and quoted for the job. We took him on, Padraic did the work and he did a great job. We're very pleased with the result.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Padraic Higgins?
We just wanted it tidied. The paint and everything had come off and we had mould problems. I just wanted everything even and clean so that I could paint it. I didn't want to shudder every time I walked into the bathroom.
Did Padraic introduce new ideas?
It wasn't necessary in this case. All I wanted was plain, smooth surfaces that could be painted. That's what I wanted and that's what he provided.
How did the project run?
Padraic was very efficient. He did the work and there was none of this dawdling around. He was very professional. Another thing I liked was that he worked very clean, which is a big thing to me.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using Higgins Plastering?
You have to understand, I don't know anything about plastering. I thought it was going to be a very messy, intrusive project and that my home would look like a construction site. It wasn't, it was the complete opposite. Honestly, it was like Padraic and his crew were not even there. They were very clean.
Would you recommend Higgins Plastering to others?
I would, and I have done.
