When was the work done?
The work was carried out in January, 2008.
What was involved?
I had a ceiling that needed to be re-plastered due to water damage. The old, ruined plaster needed to be completely torn down and replaced with new.
How did you choose Higgins Plastering?
Padraic was recommended to me by a friend who had used him previously and was happy with the work.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Padraic Higgins?
I did, yes. I obviously wanted the water damaged plaster replaced but I was also happy to have a clean, new ceiling to look at. The old one was getting a bit grotty anyway.
Did Padraic introduce new ideas?
It wasn't necessary in this case as I just wanted the ceiling fixed. I left Padraic alone to do whatever he needed to do to get the job done.
How did the project run?
Very good. Padraic was always on time, worked clean and did an excellent job. I very pleased with how it all worked out.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using Higgins Plastering?
The quality of Padraic's work and his efficiency in getting the work done quickly.
Would you recommend Higgins Plastering to others?
I would, no doubt about it.
Any tips for other people?
If you're going to have work done around the house, do a little preparation yourself. If furniture needs to be moved or gotten out of the way, do it. It really makes things easier for the person coming in to do the work if they can just get started and do what needs to be done. The sooner the job is started, the sooner it will be completed.
