Noise Reduction Materials
Cunas use specialist noise reduction materials, including 'Isostrip-T' supplied by ATIL which is designed specifically for improving the acoustic performance of party walls. It has developed specifically for areas where the sound insulation provided by the existing party wall is inadequate. Used in conjunction with standard 12.5mm plasterboard, Isostrip-T dramatically improves noise reduction. Isostrip-T decouples the second layer of wall and incorporates an air space into its construction. Two layers of stagger jointed 12.5mm plasterboard are used in order to maximise the overall system mass. The air space is filled with a layer of rockwool insulation to help absorb airborne noise. ATIL Isostrip-T can be used with most types of walls, including block, brick, plasterboard and prefabricated partitions. It is suitable for all environments where noise insulation is desirable including bedrooms, meeting rooms, offices, classrooms, theatres, cinemas, studios, surgeries, hotels, interview rooms, clinics, conference facilities, gymnasia and dance studios.
