 Our first step is to cut the tree or shrub down to the stump. |  Next we bring in the stump grinder. It's a power tool with a special cutting disk that chips away the wood. |
 Here we see the stump grinder in action - the stump is gradually turned into a pile of wood chip. |  At this point, the only visible sign of the stump is is the wood chip, which we can take away or the homeowner can use for mulch. The final step is to cut through the tree roots around the stump. |
