When was the work done?
Darren carried out the work for me in October, 2007.

What was involved?
My wife and I had purchased a 1940's house and grounds that had fallen into a state of disrepair. It had been owned by an elderly couple who had not been in a position to maintain the house and and a lot of it needed to be demolished and rebuilt. The grounds had become completely overgrown and needed to be cleared. Darren was brought in to clear and remove shrubs, trees and the remaining stumps. One tree in particular that needed to be cut down and disposed of was like something from Jack and the Beanstalk. It was massive and was more suited to a large estate.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Darren Tracey?
I did, yes. I was very particular with how I wanted things done and Darren was very good about listening to what was required before doing any work. We walked the property together, discussed the project and came to an agreement as to what would be carried out.

Did Darren introduce new ideas?
He did but it was in conjunction with what I wanted done and had more to do with practicalities.

How did the project run?
The project ran very well. Darren did what he said he would do and left my garden in the condition he said it would be in when he was finished.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using Stump Stompers?
The biggest benefit to me of using Darren was in having someone come in a do a professional job. By professional, I mean they do what they promise and they do it well.

Would you recommend Stump Stompers to others?
I am very particular about the people I use and would normally be reluctant about making recommendations but I am absolutely willing to endorse Darren. He did a great job and I always want to help people like that.

Any tips for other people?
I think that it's important to get at least three quotes before you take someone on and that the quotes represent the same level of work you want carried out. Price shouldn't be the only consideration either; choosing the right individual is very important because you always get what you pay for. You should trust the person you hire, not only with regards to your home and property but with a consideration of your neighbours as well. You wouldn't want your project to adversely effect a neighbour and their property. I'm pleased to point out that Darren had enough cop-on to understand the importance of that last point.
